AirJamz

Who doesn’t like to play air guitar? If you do, then you may be interested in AirJamz a new wearable by Zivix, the creators of jamstik+ that takes those moves you got so good at and turn them into music.

AirJamz is being brought to life through the company’s latest Kickstarter campaign. It’s app-enhanced, Bluetooth enabled and sits on your wrist like a watch or an activity tracker like a FitBit and connects wirelessly to an iOS or Android device.

Your Air Guitar Comes Alive

Once you power it on, you simply run the AirJamz:Guitar companion app, pick your song, strike your pose and strum away. As you hammer out those guitar riffs or launch into that classic solo, AirJamz’s proprietary algorithms translates your movements into guitar sounds. Your friends can get in on the action too. Using the AirJamz:Music app, four AirJamz can be connected to one device at the same time.

With a gadget like this, you’ll be the life of the party; the party will never be the same!

As for song lists and the type of music you can play, the company says they are still finalizing it but insist that literally any type of music can be played with AirJamz. They’ve indicated there will be a substantial song list. Some tunes will be licensed; some will be original content and a good number of free to play options will be available.

Kickstarter Campaign On Track

To get AirJamz to market, the company is looking at raising $30,000 US through a Kickstarter campaign. The company has a good track record using this funding option after successfully bringing jamstik+, their portable SmartGuitar to market last year.

So far, the campaign has over 330 backers and is already two-thirds of the way towards their goal with still over 30 days to go.

Early birds can get on the list for an AirJamz with a pledge of $39 US (35% off retail). Other available pledge options, include multi-pack units, MiniJamz, a pocket-sized speaker and more.

As a way to give back to the community, for every 20 AirJamz backed, the company has issued a pledge that they will donate a unit to one of their charity partners in music education and music therapy.

AirJamz is expected to ship In August 2016. For more information check out their campaign page.
